Happy Valentine's Day!

Wishing you all the bests on the most love love holiday in the year. We are planning to have a nice dinner at Bistro Sun this evening and i know Lori can't wait to try the cheese fondue.

on a different note, i seem to be in a mood to start a garden. this starting after buying fresh herbs at the market for obseen prices. So its looking to become a herb/veggie garden with some flowers. Hopefully this will keep me busy so i stop spending money. Ironically i just bought a variety pack of garlics [Superstar Softneck Six-Pack] that i'm hoping will be the start to neverending supply of the stuff :D

Happy Friday the 13th!!!

Just had a great birthday weekend. Man a 4 day weekend is awesome!!! The whole weekend was filled with great food and good fun :D We ate at Alan Wong's, Curry House, Izakaya Nonbei, North Shore Grinds, Kit'n Kitchen. the food was soo good this weekend ahh... This was my first time eating at Alan Wong's and my ideas of the place being large, serviced by up-turned nosed waiters, with small portions of food was more wrong then ever. The food was delicious and the prix fixe menu was WAY more food then i could eat. and the serviece was amazing. The price was as you would figure for the best resturent in Hawaii for many years running. but it was soo goood. island flavors with high quality ingredients and a twist.

Much thanks to all that came to my bday party at the izakaya. The food there was great too abeit a little slow. Thank you Travis and Candice for the awesome presents! I already started to make Lori' irratated by watching Kare Kano hee hee :D and actually I'm wearing the shirt now :P Thank you thankyou! Also to Lori for the Lappy [can't thank you enough] what an awesome present >_< and for the Nardia book set which I can find out was happens after the movie ended.

I only get one of these every 7 or so years so hopefully they will all be as great as this one!!!11one

How the hell...

A while a go the stylist at supercuts was telling me that hair is very sharp and can poke you. She siad that with regularity after work she needs to remove hair that embedded itself into her like a sliver. That news shocked me. i didn't think hair something that everyone has had for most of their life can actually hurt you. huh...

well not long after that i was fiddling with my hair in a movie theater and lo and behold i poked myself. it felt like a needle and it even drew blood. DAMN!

the reason i bring this up is because just yesterday i discovered a sliver underneath my fingernail when i noticed it was painful. i discovered after i picked and pulled the sliver out, it was a piece of hair. wtf... and damn it hurt.

i don't understand, there is enough dangerous things in this world so why make hair one of them :P not only can it poke you but think of an eyelash in your eye or, well, not dangerous but gross, a hair in your food.

Stupid people...

Since the university, that i now work for, has given in to student demands of selling "name brand" foods. i bet the student are now regretting it. I’d have to say Marriott wasn't that horrible and the prices were WAY better then they are now at the "name brand" food places. Price increases of about 50% and food quality isn't any better.

I bring this all up cause I JUST went to pick up something to eat at the campus center. [i never eat on campus anymore except from the kiosks and the swimming pool snack stand] I was looking for something cheap to hold me over till lunch. I saw they had musubis. Great! The price on the sign was $1.59, which is more then the ones at the kiosks but this one looked tastier so I figured what the hell why not. I grab one and go to the cashier.

"$1.86" she states.

I hand her 2 dollars and something in my head shouts "that’s not right!" so i get my change and go back to the sign and sure enough, $1.59. Which no way in hell can make $1.86 with tax. So I go to ask the cashier about it.

She just snaps "its 1.86" just I’m a stupid retard that can't read a sign.

So I tell her the sign sitting right on top says otherwise.

She snaps back "well then it must be wrong!" and sits there like that’s ends the conversation.

I ask her "if the sign is wrong, why is it out there, sitting for everyone to see?"

She shrugs ands tell one of the worker guys "go take down the sign"

I follow him there and ask him about the inconsistency. He mutters something about the price changed.

Don't get me wrong here I’m not fighting for 20 cents. I’m fighting about the laziness and rudeness of this person. I could care less if it was the higher price as long as the sign stated it. I mean if anything like this would have happened at a normal retailer they would apologize at the least and give me some excuse about not having changed the signs yet. While most places would go one step further and give me the price shown and correct it. In a business about customer service, you would expect to be treated like customers, the life-blood of the business.

Well GG [good game] UH for allowing this company in that the students hear like cattle. But… to think of it GG students as well for asking for "name brand" food. WTF is that. How stupid and shallow can you be!! I enjoy paying $8-9 for a crappy plate lunch that can't even compare to ones bought outside of school for $6-7. ooOHH but wait its made by "Taste BBQ" [restaurant chain in Hawaii] WOW! Let me be the first to take my pants off and bend over!! Food quality has not changed and now we have to pay more to boot.
